Assault and Battery

I'm ashamed to admit - we had an incident of spousal abuse the other night.

In the wee hours of the night, I apparently rolled over and delivered a nasty elbow to Jessica's left eye. What's worse was that it has been reported that I was a bit insensitive, considering the time. Jessica left for the kitchen to find something cold to put on her eye, which does still have a small mark. She apparently came up with a bag of frozen peas, and returned to the bed to find me - wait for it - back asleep. So I'd like to apologize in front of the entire world. Hon, I'm sorry about elbowing you and making a mark and the peas and the sleep and all that. Whew.

In other news, Ned has a doppleganger:

Nope, the cat isn't Ned, but it sure looks like him. Jessica found the picture in a vote for your favorite cat thingy in the Chicago Tribune.

And despite the balmy 40 degree weather the other day, it's now approaching 10. And it may or may not be leaking through our removable hardtop ceiling skylight. And blowing wind around the window. Tomorrow evening might be spent in the Home Depot looking for some caulking.
